It is typically used to change into people other than oneself, but one also has the ability to change into animals, plants, and even inanimate objects like weapons; however, the object can be no smaller than 1 foot long in at least one dimension. Despite this, this technique has an abundance of uses. The transformation of a master of this technique (which is generally an Academy graduation requirement) makes the user physically and visually the same as the transformed person or object in question, giving the user the exact mass and physical qualities of whatever they transformed into. Higher-rank ninjas' afterimages are able to show some of the signs of natural impact as if it were an actual human, if only for a very short period, before 'poofing'. The user coming out of the technique creates a similar audio and visual cue with a small cloud of translucent smoke and a 'poofing' sound on appearance in the location of the item they Substituted with. Name: Hydrification Technique {水化の術 ~ Suika no Jutsu} Canon/Custom: Canon Rank: Scaled, equal to or less than Ninja Rank (E-A) Type: Defensive/Supplementary Element: Suiton Range: Self Specialty: KKG Duration: 1 or Maintainable Cool-down: None Description:Not a technique as such, but a living part of the Hōzuki Clan's genetic composition which can be activated at will, but also activates re-actively to any damage the user sustains, forcing its use on the Hōzuki consuming their chakra and hydration points against their will. The Hydrification Technique is the Hōzuki Clan’s Kekkei Genkai Technique. This Jutsu allows for the Hōzuki Clan member to liquefy not only their physical form but the clothing, armor and weapons on his or her person. This technique is completed with no hand signs and is only able to be accomplished because of the Hōzuki Clan’s close relationship with the Suiton element. The individual member of the clan can, quite literally, change his or her entire physical composition into a gelatin-like liquid. In this state, the Hōzuki Clan member is capable of slipping through the smallest of cracks in walls and traversing normally-blocked areas with ease. E Rank: (This rank of The Hydrification Technique, is always considered active.)PASSIVE: When used at this rank, the user can liquefy tiny amounts of their body, roughly the size of the index finger, as well as incredibly simple things to liquefy, namely their hair and fingernails. Costs 1 hydrification point per post used. This level of liquification can be maintained indefinitely without additional chakra usage and activates in response to small damage, such as E rank weapons like Kunai and Shuriken. D Rank: When activated at this rank, the user can liquefy a surface area roughly the size of their forearm, as well as any armour or equipment that covers that area. This level of liquification can be maintained for 5 chakra every post and 2 hydration points per post. This technique can be used to help resist basic strikes, but has no interaction with jutsu. C Rank: When used at this rank, the user can liquefy a surface area roughly the size of an arm or leg, as well as any armour or equipment that covers that area. This costs 4 hydrification points. This level of liquification cannot be maintained for longer than 1 post at Genin, but can be maintained normally at Chuunin rank for 5 chakra every post and 3 hydration points per post. In this state, the Hōzuki Clan member is capable of slipping through the smallest of cracks in walls and traversing normally-blocked areas with ease.
[b]E Rank:[/b] [i](This rank of The Hydrification Technique, is always considered active.)[/i] PASSIVE: When used at this rank, the user can liquefy tiny amounts of their body, roughly the size of the index finger, as well as incredibly simple things to liquefy, namely their hair and fingernails. Costs 1 hydrification point per post used. This level of liquification can be maintained indefinitely without additional chakra usage and activates in response to small damage, such as E rank weapons like Kunai and Shuriken.
